Joseph P. Steffan, CPA
Joe joined Moquist Thorvilson Kaufmann Kennedy & Pieper LLC in December 1999, and is currently a tax manager with the firm. Joe applies his experience to his client service responsibilities as well as in mentoring junior staff.
He earned his bachelor degrees in Accounting and Finance from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa and is currently working on his Masters in Business Taxation degree from the University of Minnesota. Joe has been a Certified Public Accountant since 2002 and is a member of the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants (MNCPA) and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
Professional Focus
Joe’s areas of specialty include tax compliance and planning services for closely-held businesses and their owners and assisting small businesses with their accounting and internal financial reporting. Joe provides these services to clients in a variety of industries including: professional services, retail, manufacturing and construction.

Joe’s personal interests include golf, fishing, basketball, softball, watching sports and spending time with family and friends.
