Our constantly changing tax system has become so complex that opportunities and pitfalls await even the most basic taxpayers. Helping clients gain a better understanding of their tax situation and identifying opportunities available to them gives me a sense of purpose that is just as important as the long standing relationships it helps to create."

Chris joined Moquist Thorvilson Kaufmann Kennedy & Pieper LLC in 2006, seeking greater challenges and learning opportunities after 11 years with another local accounting firm. His experience with closely held business owners and individuals and their accounting and tax needs has provided him a well-rounded background. In 2003, Chris obtained his Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation to further expand his knowledge and enable him to provide clients with more comprehensive planning services.

As a Director of Tax Services, he provides services to businesses and individuals in the areas of tax compliance, tax planning and personal financial planning. In addition, Chris has been involved in various business combinations, sales tax and income tax exams as well as payroll tax and related benefits consulting.

Chris and his wife Misty have two children. He lives in Delano and enjoys coaching youth sports, playing golf and cheering on his favorite sports teams.
