Carol's passion for business began at the age of 7 when she started working for her family's concrete block company. She answered phones and did other general office tasks, but by age 10 started making the bank deposit and helped with invoicing. Her parents saw the potential in Carol for numbers and attention to detail.

Years later, Carol joined the company's board of directors and helped in the governance issues associated with running a business. She applies this experience of entrepreneurship and family business challenges to her current clients at Moquist Thorvilson Kaufmann Kennedy & Pieper LLC.

Hired at Moquist Thorvilson Kaufmann Kennedy & Pieper LLC after an internship in 1999, Carol joined the assurance team and gained experience in both financial reporting and taxation of businesses. She assists clients with interpretation of changing financial reporting rules and regulations and she suggests improvements that can maximize business operations.

Carol is also actively involved in campus recruiting for new team members and new employee orientation.

Interests and Activities

Carol enjoys traveling and being outdoors. While traveling, she enjoys walking off the beaten path, exploring, getting to know the personality of a new city and tasting the local fare. Carol has visited two of the Seven Wonders of the World and aspires to see the remaining five. She also enjoys cake decorating, bicycling, rollerblading, camping and spending time with family and friends.
